Tommy got knocked off by a back marker at Laguna. He badly broke his right hand. With a badly swollen hand from surgery, he still qualifies 6. He led the race from the start but was soon passed by Roger. His hand lacking the strength to out brake Roger he finished second. What a 'Trooper'. TJ

Big thumbs up for toughing it out through the pain, however, the crash at Laguna was his mistake, not that of the backmarker. Tommy admitted the mistake after the race.

Man, I'm hemp Dean. Those Hayden boys are a tough bunch. You can tell they love it, I'll bet Dad and Mom are proud as hell. I get the vibe they encouraged their boys but didnt push the crap out of 'em like some other sports....I remember taking my daughter to a fancy Gymnastics place and the parents were like Gestapo !
