Short notice, a couple of us are planning on attending, figured I'd pass the info along to the Feejer board!

Date: Saturday, April 26th, 2008.

Ride Plan Time: Depart Victor’s Celtic Coffee in Redmond at 9:00 a.m. (7993 GILMAN ST, REDMOND, WA, 98052)

Highlights: Orca fountain at the Tulalip Casino (10-10:30 a.m.), tulip fields in Mt. Vernon, lunch in La Conner, scenic Deception Pass, and a ferry ride home.

Distance: 170 +/- miles.

Duration: Riding time of 5.5 hours plus lunch, stops, and ferry. It’s a full day.

Hey Jason, will it be all Hogs or a mix of bikes. Escapejfrtist & I were thinking about going along.
Mix of bikes for sure... In my group, there's an FJR, Versys, and ZX14...

Looking at the past pics, it seems that it usually no more then 50% HD, it just so happens the organizer is an HD rider...

OK, I'm in. I will be up at the casino. I'll see if I can contact someone to see if it's a drive by or a stop.

Add: According to the map directions, they ARE going to stop at the casino.

I'll be on this:

I might show, I asked my son to go to a annual Men's church breakfast at nine if he's not up by then I'll see you guys at the Tulalip Casino. I'll miss going out with you guys but I stand by my commitments. He has been working mass OT so I just may see you. Thanks for the bump.

So Don, your saying I should take the HD. Nope, don't want to blend in. Maybe the Ducati S4RS. Nope, the FJR. Still my favorite ride :excl:
Grow a set bubba, and ride the HD - with tassles! You know you WANT to! The ride is 2 Lips ya know..

Don, I hate to admit this but is sold both the 1984 XR1000 and the 1992 Buell. Just have the old Husky, old Norton, 2007 S4RS and the 2006 FJR. Really don't miss the Buell but do miss the Harley.

Damn. Takes all the fun out it. Looks like you'll have to tassle-ize the FJR.. You guys have a great ride. You know I don't care WHAT you ride, just as long as you RIDE.

OK, folks.

First, today's ride was pretty cool. Lot's of neat people.... even some Harley riders! :p

It didn't start out too well for Panman. The poor guy shows up with a flat tire! :(

The only bad part was the "high cost" lunch at Palmers in LaConner. Even though reservations had been made, the restaurant didn't set up for us. We than had to wait about 45 minutes at the tables just to order. We were all there for nearly 3 hours!

The fields of tulips were absolutely stunning. We couldn't stay very long because the police were ticketing people parked on the side of the road. Well, duh! Shame on all those people trying to support tourism in the Skagit Valley! <_<

Here's some pics.

Jason did a fine job of Sweeper. I kept lagging back so I could ride the twisties faster. I'm not sure how we got sparated after lunch. I got caught up with the SLOW guys. We didn't stop at Deception Pass... no parking & it was getting late.

It's sooooo nice to just drive onto the ferry at the front of the line.

Hey there Stephen! It was great to meet you today (along with escapefjrtist and I think it was Niehart)...

Yup - Palmers was the low-light of the ride today for sure (though the conversation was decent!).

Not sure how we got separated after lunch... but hope to ride with you again soon!

I certainly met some great people today, enjoyed some beautiful weather, and rode on some great roads!
