This problem began at about 2500 miles, and has become more relevant with more miles. Stopped by the dealer the other weekend and they asked Yamaha about the problem, and it seems the cure is to remove the clutch and soaking the disk’s in oil. It seems odd that they need to be soaked in oil since the clutch is a wet clutch.
Yamaha says that the clutch was probably put together with the grease left on them, go figure.
Has anyone else had this problem? The dealer says that the factory rep has only heard of 4 other such complaints.
