Someone please confirm my suspicion

Looking at this motor for my '03. It's an '06 and it looks identical to my '03 physically, except for FI. It was stated that the Gen II's didn't have a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor), but had a Gear Selection Sensor instead. The port is identical to the VSS if it is. I'm thinking of picking this up as a spare and using all the '03 FI and electronics if it will work. The manual doesn't have great pics for this unfortunately. Anyone have some insight to this?
