Top Case problems

G'Day Guys

My first Top Case was replaced under warranty with the strengthened case

The new Case has now broken in the same place as the first one ,

I have spoken to the dearler today and he

wants me to talk to the Yamaha rep tomorrow , but says the Yamaha rep will only say that I have over loaded

it and will not replace it

I dont believe that I have as the empty Top Case weights 7kg (15.4lbs) and loaded it is only 11 kg total (24.2lbs)

Has anyone else had there replacement case break

I cant find what the max load weight is for the Top Case ,anyone know

Literature supplied with my top case says 5 kg. maximum load.

Side cases 10 kg. maximum load.

Maximum speed 130 km/h.

And never use all three together

Must have been written by a lawyer, as those limits make them pretty much useless.

FWIW, I don't carry lead or depleted uranium in mine but I do load them up (all 3, at the same time!) with no ill effects.
