After trying various things to improve the stock seat, I read thru this guys mods, and applied it to the seat. I took some of the foreward slope out to keep my balls from leaving an indentation on the tank, added about an inch of padding to the sides of the stock, and cut out some relief indents where the bones of my skinny ass contact the seat. I put a little over 400 mi yesterday, and was reasonably comfortable!! BTW, I have a extra set of stock seats, so I wasn't paranoid about hacking into it. Do it at your own risk. Here's where I got the ideas. My camera is 500 miles away, so no pics, sorry.

I've thought about doing something like that... all I need is a spare seat to experiment with. I don't trust my handiwork on the only seat I have, and I don't want the bike to be down for weeks when/if I bugger it up
