Don't ever get a dog or a cat. The poor thing will starve to death.

Have a great ride. Another great ride.
https://petshotel.petsmart.com/ Brother Mike, if you had any idea of how much I spend each year at PetsHotel, you'd be shocked. When I'm out on the road on mi Moto, I stay at the cheapest flophouses you can imagine. There's a hovel in DeSoto, TX at $19 a night I stay at.

My Labrador Retriever Bear and my Tabby Cat Gary stay at PetsHotel in fine luxury compared to the flea traps that I crash at while on trips. Now, if my Son Seth or my Gal Donna are staying with me, then it is the Hilton or Sheraton. But for Papa Chuy en solo, Motel Seis ese!

Beemerdons,

Looks like you'll be headed to my "neck of the woods", and as you know, it should be excellent timing for fall colors! Might try to join you guys during the Hwy 12 and/or Zion sections (October 12 and 13). If I can find someone to take care of my dog and two cats (just kidding).

Sounds great RPrice, look forward to riding with you! We'll have our cell phone with us 480-440-4666 and our laptop [email protected] The Fall Colors should be outstanding, I bought Seth his own digital camera and I-Pad 2 for recording them and writing his own Ride Report.

Sorry Don, but I call BS. You picked out a Travelodge for WFO in California last year. Poor Seth had to put his clothes in your truck because the room was so tiny.... cheapo.

of course I stayed at the same cheapo hotel....

You are right Mick, I will also stay at The Travelodge; and yes, that motel in Eureka was the tiniest room we have ever stayed in!

Hey this sounds like a fun trip. I will tentatively try to plan for it. That's got to be arguably one of the most beautiful parts of the Country, especially that time of the year :)

Sounds great azitlies, we Stanley Boys are looking forward to riding with you! You are right about the weather, Southern Utah is the perfect temperature in early October!

Dang I wish I could! Hmmm, got me thinking tho.

After (too many) yrs stuck in the east, now that I'm retired I try and go to the western roads and play catch up aka SW-FOG & GBU this yr. So much I haven't seen! Never really explored Utah other than I-80 across it back when I was stationed @ Vallejo and traveling east on leave.

I'm doing the Void Rally on Oct 6-8, and headed to Key West for a week starting Oct 16; just too tight! It's not the miles I fear, but the wrath of wifey that giveth the kitchen pass.........................

She'll be OK, if you haven't ridden Southern Utah in the fall, you haven't lived yet!!!

Let me talk to her, maybe bring her with you??

Anyway, consider changing plans, you won't regret it!

Take care,

Part of the problem is that I'm retired and she's not; and she doesn't ride. Well not like this - she will do leisurely runs in good weather locally, but not like this and I've got my bike pretty much set up as a 1-up LD bike (search my content)

I just saw this today so am thinking. I could maybe shoot out there after the Void rally, but would have to leave a day or two early to make it back in time to go to KW.

I'm thinking, OK!
