Anyone have a photo of the Givi E55 Topbox on a fjr? I have a 40 something but would like it a bit bigger and like the idea of gaining more rear lites.

Just a few pics using Google Image Search...

RH already posted my pics. Just be sure to get the Admore light kit, not the GIVI OEM. If you want the Givi lights, I'll give you the ones I took out. :angry2:

Many thanks. I had no idea that they the Admore lights existed. Just helped me make up my mind as to what model of the E55 to get.

+1 on that Admore kit in the E55. I've got it and the amber turn signals are very bright and noticeable. I've had the V46 & 52 but I like the look of the E55. It's subjective but if you are going to have a big a** box hanging off the back of your bike you might as well get the most out of it.

Very seldom do you wish you'd gone smaller (that's what she said  )

Another question, if you get one of the replacement lids, e.g. gloss silver, do you replace a lid that's already on the box or does it go over it?

I'm thinking, if the box is constructed with a removable lid, I could have that painted.

Replaces. And then you can sell off the matte black lid (or give it away as a Pay-It-Forward) to mitigate your expenses, (or build your positive karma).

PS - that feckin' thing is Huuuue-jah!

I have the e 52 and like how the lights wrap around it more than the e 55. Make sure you talk to the admore people and get the kit that is plug and play for the FJR. It is a much cleaner install and simple to do. No positaps.

Good luck with your choice.

Another +1 for the Admore Kit. Someone had ordered an E55 with the remote lid release and then did not pick it up so I was able to get a good deal on it. I used the Admore Kit for the box lights and then used the original Givi power connection to power the trunk release.

The E55 got delivered yesterday. Everybody was right, it is HUGE. But I don't know if I have a problem or not. I consider myself very mechanical but I can not figure out how the handle gets released. No matter what I do it stays flush and closed.

Help

Turn the key clockwise beyond the unlock position and the handle pops up.

Admore also offers a wiring extension cable for inside the case that will give you better choices for mounting the external power connector. You might need to call and ask, was not listed on the site when I bought mine. This pigtail, along with the inline wiring harness made the install super easy and clean.

Well, now that I feel like a complete idiot I know the box is not broke. Big but not broke. I sent AdMore an email to see if what I got from them is what DaveB is referring to. I think not. I can almost fit my old Givi box inside this new monster.

I have seen pics online, but it is difficult to tell how closely the "Dark Burgman Blue" E55 matches the '05 blue Feej. If anyone has one, or has seen it in real life is it better to go with the blue replacement top for the E55 or to go with the Silver?

It would be nice to get a group buy on these Givi boxes. By the time I add it all up I'm approaching $600 for a top-case, mount and light kit. Ouch!

These are around $350.

The SH48 will hold 2 Modular Helmets.

Thanks - Taking a look now. Planning a trip next month and want the extra space before I go.
