Gen III front cowling removal?

Have a crack in the front (painted) cowling around the headlight. Need to change it for a new one. Pretty much got the top part disassembled and the mirrors off. Cannot figure out how to disassemble the bottom part around the headlights.

It's different from all the other gens and I cannot find any info on it.

It actually turned out to be pretty easy. You just take everything that looks like plastic off the bike except the taillight lens. The last thing that then comes off is the the front upper body panel.

Simply reassemble in the reverse order, making sure not to confuse the different color fasteners, half of which are so cheap I replaced most of the with stainless steel quality hex head hardware.

Clever those Yamaha engineers.

SORRY TO HEAR YOU ALREADY CRACKED SOMETHING ON A NEW BIKE

I have to ask....was this something that was the result of impact or something, or did it just crack as in normal everyday riding? Are you out of the warranty period?
