09 AE with Helibar Riser + 1-inch block handlebar risers.

With AE I lose that little bit of 'mountable' real estate on the left handle and also lose a reservoir for mounting.

As at this time, I've got my TomTomRider mounted on RamMount/Arm on the right handle and my iPhone mounted on RokForm Case on Techmount Ball off the two holes in the Riser Plate.

This arrangement is fine, but a bit lopsided for my liking. Especially having to reach over to the right with the left hand if I need to change anything on the GPS while mobile.

Is there a bar that would run across between the handlebars and sit on the part of the handlebar which goes into the plate. (Hope I make some sort sense here). This way, The GPS, iPhone and/or GoPro can be mounted on the bar and sit nicely between the handlebars.

I made this:

I made a central mount for my Tomtom, this'll work for a Gen II or Gen III:

More details here.

I'm experimenting with a different arrangement on my YCC-S Gen III, but not relevant for you ;)

Thanks, Twigg!

Good use of the Ram Arms on either side. But I'm not looking for something that wide and 'high' and besides, I dont have any space to use the ram mount on the left handle. Thanks for sharing though.

I just posted this up a few days ago. Maybe it could be made to work...

Very much along the lines I'm thinking about. Adapting it to the Helibars will be the challenge

Thats about just right on the final 'look' i'm aiming for. But instead of the mount you have, somehow a bar needs to be attached, still be firm and stable and have room to mount 2-3 gadgets (TomTom/GPS, Smartphone, GoPro or Spot)
