The Long Riders: Race to the North Pole!
From Mike at IBA

While many of us are enjoying the warm Florida sun at the annual IBA Party in Florida, our own Glen DuPont, along with riders Courtney Sullivan and Allen Morris, will attempting to be the first riders to reach the North Pole by motorcycle in March of 2015. This is a serious effort that has been in the works for years but kept under wraps until the stars were aligned.

Be part of the adventure and help spread the word of this insane group of riders. With your help, we hope to see a picture of an IBA flag at the North Pole. No matter what happens, rather they make it 10 miles or 100 or the 1,130 miles (as the crow flies actual trip mileage will be much greater) from their starting point at Resolute on the Island of Cornwallis, Nunavet, Canada, it is going to be an adventure we won't want to miss. And it is insanity and its most insane - a perfect fit in the IBA world of craziness.

The website is located at:

but they need your help (and it won't cost you a penny), if you are on Facebook, your like will help them secure sponsorship to help with the expenses - and this is going to be one intense and expensive trip.

Please check out their new Facebook page at

and be sure to like the PAGE (to the right of the The Long Riders logo on the photo on the main page) for updates - your LIKES will help them in their fund raising efforts.

Yeah I heard about this just this morning. Is it possible? It must be if they're going to attempt it. Best of luck to them. I can't even begin to imagine the myriad of obstacles that'll be in their way.

Do they have a chase vehicle, with replacement final drives?

OOPS my bad, they chose KTM's.. Good for them. Boorman and MacGregor might be jealous.
