Didn't take the Taxidermist too long to mount my record Walleye



Shoreline of Lake Superior was spectacular. My constant companion for the bulk of three days, a damn big lake!



Some kind of a disease or parasite? Found on evergreens near Two Harbors MN

Gooseberry Falls, the proximity to the lake keeps the Steelhead from going very far upstream.

The only Ship I actually saw underway on Lake Superior was near Split Rock Lighthouse



Split Rock Lighthouse - a lonely place at times I'm sure.

Mini - as in Mini Cooper?

Started to get into some Color after Split Rock, mostly Golds and Yellows on the MN side of Superior.



A few hardwoods once we got away from the lake and up in elevation, West of Grand Portage.



North East of Thunder Bay



Saw this little guy on the way in and out of Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park. Not very afraid of us at all.

Fishing for "Brook Trout" near the lake. Didn't see anyone catch any though.

Good stuff John.

I took this trip last year in mid-September with my wife and a few friends on the bikes. The colors were just starting, so not as good as what you are seeing.

Perhaps you went up to Copper Harbor and that is coming in your report soon?

Mini Cooper Convertible - Nice! I can't get my SWMBO interested in bikes no matter how many shops and shows I drag her to. I love road-tripping so if I want to bring her along a MINI might be in my future.

Also not to break balls or anything - but didn't the leaves just bud out on those trees a couple of months ago

Yes they did.....and the Upper Pennisula got their 6 weeks of Summer! Afterall there was still ice in Lake Superior on Memorial weekend!!
