So as some of you know, I've not been able to ride since an on duty crash back on July 3rd. I've had multiple PT sessions with mixed results, and two epidural steroid injections between my C5 and and C6 so far. The first injection led to me having a blazing red head for two days with a headache for four days. Ever since the second injection I've had a string of crappy side effects including nausea, headaches, and cramping of my hands, feet, legs and back. Today my right cheek began swelling up while I was testifying in a child custody trial. Long story short I've got a blocked parotid gland... No point in telling anyone this other than whining. My face is in chipmunk mode, I can't swallow, can't hear out of my right ear, drooling non-stop, and my skin over the lump is sore to the touch.

Here's the point... If you can ride right now please enjoy it to the fullest and post a riding pic on here for me? I've not ridden a single yard since July 3rd when the crash happened and I miss it. Depression is kicking in hard and I could use some third party happiness.

I don't have a picture of me actually riding, but I do have this ....

It was taken about 30 miles from home after the "How the West Was Won" Rally. By the time I arrived home, the odometer was 2990 miles further along than it had been less than four days earlier .... The bike and I were both looking forward to a well-earned rest:

Well, I know about not riding for a while, but mine was a bike injury, not a me injury.... 117 days from shift drum failure to running again.

I think I prefer the way I was forced to lay out...... Get that stuff done, get the evil stuff gone, and get better quick!!

Real sorry to hear of your injury and its effect on your riding. Been in the same boat myself with another torn rotator cuff, can only tolerate short rides. I hope the docs get you fixed up and back on the road shortly, it's no fun sitting around waiting to heal. From a recent ride, the Appalachian Trail crosses Lambs Knoll Rd. in the South Mountain State Park at this point:

Wish you all the best and hope you can get back to doing what you love so much!

Here's some of my neck of the woods pics (NY State)...

And soon I'll be doing this... me; in the Adirondacks. I do dislike winter, but ya take advantage of what you can right?

Greg,

Sorry to hear about the accident and wishing you a quick recovery.

One suggestion would be to adjust your riding position demonstrated below by my youngest. He has a unique way to get comfortable on the bike.

Hang in there Greg, here's some pictures mostly from the bike during a ride in eastern Oregon with a good friend. It was wet for a couple hours in the afternoon but we were treated to some great setting sun color at the end of the day near the Prineville dam.

Bums me out that I have a limit of posts I can use the "like this" button on... Every one of you are helping me out a ton! Great forum and great peeps. I'd even welcome posts from the old crotchety fukers and y'all know who ya are... LOL they're honestly my kind of people anyway even when I have banged heads wit 'em.

Thanks Wheaton! I got to take that exact same pic at Bryce last summer but was riding my 'Strom! Fantastic trip!
