Dave, Leo, Jeff & myself decided to do a little loop Thursday as the Weather Was Suppose to be clear and nice.

We meet at George's favorite place, Micky D's in Arlington at 6 AM and had bite to eat. After chasing the cats around we finally got going around 7:00!

The route Pops and I talked went something like this.

They opened the North Cascade Hwy last Friday and also got both Chinook and Cayuse opened so we thought what the heck. Not many Pic's as we spent most of the time riding.

Here are a few on top at Washington Pass.

We stopped in Twisp for fuel a candy bar and Gatorade and ran into a fellow FJR rider Chris and he decided to follow along for awhile. We headed for Brewster via Loup Loup pass and stopped next in Peshastin for fuel. Jeff and Leo decided that they would break off and head towards home stopping in Roslyn to have a brew and lunch at the Brick Tavern.

We all ran Blewett together and got a pretty good bath! I cussed myself as I slipped the heated coat of in Twisp! Really wasn't that bad as It warmed up and we dried out quick. Leo and Jeff split off at 970 and headed for their lunch and we went towards Ellensburg.

Dave, Chris and myself headed towards Yakima via the old canyon Rd and Pops took us into Selah and showed us a nice bi-pass using the Selah Loop Rd. Once we hit twelve we fueled for the last time of the ride. At that point Chris decided to head out on his own so Pops and I down some munchies and hydrated.

We headed up twelve and split off onto 410 heading for Chinook pass, here are few more shots.

We stopped on the other side as we were hitting some snow flurries and I was clod and wanted my heated coat back on!

We did pretty good headed for Enumclaw a spit here or there not bad and not to cold. We did back roads to Ravensdale then Hobart and jumped on to 18 to bee line for the Final Frontier Tavern for a well deserved Burger and brew!

It was about 580 miles and seven passes if you want to include Tiger Mountain. Not to bad a day, rode with Friends meet a new one meeting Chris.

Life can be good sometimes!

Great outing, nice pics. I am kind of curtailed by some muscle stuff at present, my FJR 580miles a day rides may be history(maybe on the wing). The shortcut from Selah to Naches is cool or visa versa . Pretty creative passes attack. Enjoy the potting.

Very nice Panman! But i see ice on the asphalt..?!Not was a problem there??

Those views are spectacular but my palms were sweating just looking at the pictures. I'd be so wacked out worried about ice, it would be impossible for me to enjoy the ride. Props to you for riding it, though.

My brother has lived up there for about 25 years now. I think he has grown gills. Geezzz - you peeps get some wet stuff.

Excellent ride report Panman....... glad you were able to get out and enjoy the day....looks like fun day to ride :)

Thanks folks! I hadn't done one of these for a while and felt bad as I didn't take pictures of the burgers & fries we had for dinner. I know this crew likes thier food porn!

The conditions were not that bad, we slowed the pace down when we got to where we thought there may be ice. I've rode in rain lots thru the years but the rain going over Tiger mountain was some of the worst I've hit. Riding by Braille was my thought!

I think most of us have webbed feet!

Beautiful scenery!

Three of our kids live in WA and I keep threatening to take a trip up there on the bike. These photos push me to the edge...
