A Great Ride with Friends

So I happen to work with sever guys that share the passion for riding motorcycles. We don't often get the same day off, heck we don't get many days off in fact lol. One of my coworkers had moved down from PA last fall and although owning a nice Triumph he only has used it for trips to and from work with a few local rides in Spartanburg County. My other friend I have taken up on the Parkway and a few other half day trips even took him to the Diamondback ride on 226A last year. Sooo we all had Sunday off !!!! so I planed a route Saturday night and Sunday morning prayers were said and we rode. My route took us on Hwy 11 till we climbed up to Caesars Head State Park our First stop as I like this as a nice way to show off the upstate's beauty to new residents and visitors.



Next on to Highlands NC via Brevard NC on NC 64 where we picked up NC 28 the moonshiner. We made a quick photo stop at Bridal Falls. The best part of the trip tho was from Franklin to where we come out on 74. Lots of curves, ok blacktop and no traffic to speak of.



Last we made it to the Dragon and enjoyed a wonderful day of riding and a day better spent than the same old same of TV, mowing grass and other meaningless tripe. Days like Sunday is what its about and ill take every one I can till I cant no more.

Oh yea #1 saw several Feejers along the way. Anyone here was traveling along our route? #2 longest day so far on mine and now see need for upgraded seat after 11 hour ride on OEM. #3 Yes my bike was the bestest, sexest and awesomest bike in the pack thank you.

I have not spent much time on the S/C side of Appalachia. Bookmarking Ceasar's Head State Park for future reference. Thanks for the picture and the ride report.

Beautiful country; I'll be on my spring Parkway ride the end of May, can't wait to ride those roads again.

Nice! I love that area. 28 is one of my favorites. Last month was the first time I went on down into SC on 28 and came back up 107. I thought South Carolina was out of the mountains and flat, but I was mistaken. Good stuff.

I was up there Friday, first time on the Dragon! Left Tuesday from Florida for Suches GA,stayed at the 2 wheels campground nice place and good peopleand then went to Oak Ridge Tenn. to see my 91yr old Aunt left there friday day for the DRAGON fun ride.
