As I examined my new bike I noticed the the fuse in the dealer installed battery tender harness was a 7.5amp, if you run an air pump or some other accessories you might want to bump it up to a 15amp for good measure. Better now than by the roadside.

 
Yup. 7.5 amps will probably blow with a compressor. I think I put a 15A in mine. Just make sure that the wires are heavy enough for the load.

 
If you need to use the air compressor and have the battery tender pigtail as your source, check the line for heat and if it gets hot take a break till it cools down.
