I have looked everywhere for the definition of the "D". I have a Canadian unit (just purchased then stored :( at the dealer) The manual says FJR13AD. I know that the A stands for ABS but what is the D?

Almost correct. It seems that the '11 is a FJR1300AA, the '12 ia a FJR1300AB, '13 is a FJR1300AD, the '14 is a FJR1300AE, the '15 is a FJR1300AF -- are ya seeing a trend here? I suspect that there was no AC to keep out confusion with the California "C" model. Yamaha could use AE 'cause they killed the USA AE auto-clutch model years earlier.

So, we have:The FJR1300AE = FJR1300 is a standard FJR1300 made in 2014;

The FJR1300AE = the USA name for the YCC-S variant;

The FJR1300AE = the European Gen 3 with the fancy electrically alterable suspension;

I'm even more confused :( .

Wouldn't all Canadian models be designated with an "O" -- as in O, Canada?

Canadian model is the EH
