Zipper on stock FJR factory cover?

By a crazy chain of events, I inherited a factory cover that was hardly used by the past individual. Its a beaut. And have been looking for a new cover in the last few months. Anyway, placed it on the bike and there is this zipper on the tail end of the cover. But, there is no zipper slider for this zipper on the top side. I looked on the underside of the cover... nothing. There is not even a broken slider that is missing a pull that I can see. Anyway, what the heck is this zipper for? And is the slider concealed for some reason?

If you have a OEM Top Box the zipper allows for additional space to fit the top box into.

Yamaha provide the third lock for a top case with the bike, but I don't think they provide a zipper slider .
