Due to popular comments on my other forum post and the fact that I can't revise my past post yet, here's a revised version of that list. Here's the old post: https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php/topic/167061-amazing-tools-gadgets-and-accessories-for-motorcyclesmy-list/

Let me know what else I can add or change, and once I have editing rights for my posts I'll make the changes, thanks.

This is a list of my suggested accessories to have for any motorcycle enthusiast. They aren’t in order of importance, and some might be more valuable to some riders than others. I’m going to leave out certain items such as essential riding gear, like helmets and jackets. I might make a separate list for gear to wear with some research behind it. (All links are just suggestions). I will add to this list if I come across any other useful items.

1. Tail Bag~ $50+

A tail bag is extremely useful for storing anything from tools to even full face helmets. It will eliminate the need for carrying a backpack which can be annoying and make going for a ride not as enjoyable. I have my suggested links below:

Here’s a link to a tail bag that can hold a full face helmet:

https://www.amazon.co...d=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Here’s a link to a tail bag that can hold other misc. items but NOT a helmet:

https://www.amazon.co...MMJYEDJW7HCNXXX

2. Frame sliders~ $20+

Frame sliders will help protect your bike from damage if it falls over or is laid down. They are mainly for protecting your frame from damage but certain models can be used to protect your fairings as well.

Here’s an example, they can range in pricing depending on your bike and the company:

3. 12v Car Charger (If you have a plug of course)~ $10.99

Going on a long drive? This small investment will save your phone’s battery on long drives especially if you’re using it for GPS or music. (Granted you have a 12v charger on your bike)

Android car charger:

Apple car charger:

https://www.amazon.co...ple car charger

4. Master Multi-tool with sockets~ $13.19

Don’t want to carry a ton of tools while you ride then grab one of these. It will help with minor repairs while on the go, it’s small, and has a variety of tools.

Take a look here:

5. Reflective Rim Tape~ $37

This tape is a safety item which will help in being visible to other drivers from the side. It also happens to look awesome and gives your bike a Tron look. It comes in many different colors.

6. Disk Lock~ $35+

Protecting your investment should be at the top of your list of essential items to have as a motorcycle enthusiast. They can come with motion alarms too so shop around for what brand meets your needs. Below is a basic hardened steel lock.

(Some comments mentioning the alarm Xena unit so here's a link to that too 2nd one below)~$64

https://www.amazon.co...=A1P4Q6WVP7QBZ3

https://www.amazon.com/XX6-SS-Disc-Lock-Alarm-Motorcycle-Stainless/dp/B002VR5LLI

7. Phone Mount~ $12

In combination with a GPS app you could just use your phone as a GPS instead of purchasing a dedicated unit. It mounts directly to your bikes handle bars and has multiple safety persuasions in keeping your phone safe. It will also make changing songs or taking calls easier. (Don’t use your phone while in motion and pay attention to the road!)

8. Helmet Bluetooth~ $97

If you like to listen to music, radio, or even communicate with fellow riders then a helmet bluetooth is an essential tool for you. Sena makes some great units that range from under $100 to even $300. Below is a basic level entry unit for under $100

https://www.amazon.co...h/dp/B0071HE2DG

9. GPS or GPS Phone App

Google Maps tends to be the best GPS app for me at least. When it comes to a dedicated GPS’s I have used a TomTom 400 rider before and it worked great for my use.

10. Rok Straps~ $20

Keeping straps on you can be very useful if you ever need to strap down something. Some things you can strap down are: covers, backpacks, broken parts, and bags of food.

11. Tire Plug kit~$49

Does as the name says, you can plug your deflated tires with it.

https://www.amazon.com/Stop-Go-1075-Standard-Plugger/dp/B0018EUDHW

12. Mini Inflator~$18

Starting with the lowest cost option being a hand pump, there are other options to get a portable electric tire pump.

https://www.amazon.com/Bike-Pump-Geared2U-Compatible-Lightweight/dp/B00C8VJDUM

13. LED Flash Light~$26

For those night time rides, I find that this small extremely powerful flash light works perfect.

14. Spare cash stash~$?!?!

Keep a spare stash of cash, $100 or so just incase your in an emergency or lost your wallet.

It gave me an error the first time I tried to post it so I posted again thinking it didn't go through the 1st time. The duplicate should be gone now...

Looks like someone is getting Amazon commissions for links.
Nope I'm not, I find most of my stuff on Amazon because it's usually cheaper. I use a Youtubers link that I watch for the amazon link, it's not mine.
