Richard/fairlaner has sort of mosied off into the sunset so I had organized last year's GOTC in Santa Cruz. Just gauging if there is any interest in doing this for 2016. Also suggestions on location... thought maybe the Sierras or Tahoe? August or October have the most availability for me personally. Fire away!

Great route suggestions from Gregory here.

UPDATE 05/02/16

I went with Redding as it is central to lots of different options including Shasta, Lassen, 36/299, etc.

Hotel is set. Link for online reservation here - book by 9/23 for group rate. I'll be working on restaurant/meal options as well.

Eureka would be fine. I always thought Redding would be good cause as long as you don't go south there is great riding all over . Lots of places to stay with food in walking distance.

Whatever the choice I'm in.

At one point Barb had talked about something in BC, I thought in August but my old brain doesn't remember. Either month is fine with me.

Super hot here in August. I was thinking about doing a gathering here next year. I was thinking Sept/Oct of '17

The coast is always a great choice for summer

The best total solar eclipse of your life is August 21. (edit: Aug 2017, that is.) I'll be there, somewhere. And it's within everybody's reach.

Well, everybody with an FJR, anyway. (BTW, Redding, CA, in August? +1, Greg.)

Watching with some interest.... I wonder if I could get another kitchen pass....

Eureka in October would be good if you can put in an order for no fog.

Need to find the Samoa cookhouse without radar.
