I'm not the greatest at remembering to take pictures.
I met Griff & Petey in Sioux Falls SD. Griff is doing the Tour of Honor (getting pictures at war memorials basically.) So we ran up to Pierre SD. This was a pretty cool memorial.
Griff Getting some points!
The capital Building of SD. It's not the building that's Tilting
We then went on the Minuteman Missile Museum. Most of us remember the cold war... I mean holy crap there were over one thousand silos scattered across the plains at the height. Each underground bunker controlled 15 missiles with four warheads each.
We got there too late to get tickets to go down into the control room but we went over to a decommissioned Silo.
The concrete walls of the silo are 9.5 feet think, almost as strong as Wheatie's skull.
Some perspective on how big the silo door is/was. It about one Petey thick.
I tried to take a picture of the missile in the silo but the camera kept focusing on the glass... Sorry.
So I got this picture instead.
We made it to Gillette WY. And of course the best Mexican food in ALL of Wyoming.
Shockingly our hotel JUST happened to be next to "The Ice Cream Cafe"
Griff trying to hide his cone behind the stacks of cash...
How's that Fitbit working out.... just another 200,000 steps to go...
To be continued.
