2014A remove battery cover

Sorry to ask such a basic question but is giving me a hard time.

I want to remove panel that covers the battery. I looked in the owners manual and removed the two screws and two fasteners. The rub for me is the rear tab. Which way do I push/pull to release it?

there are really helpful videos on youtube, that helped me figure it out too.....once you got it it's pretty easy when you're in the garage at home....stranded on the side of a highway might be another stressful thing
