The bar is open Thursday through Sunday. Hours are noon until closing. 360 Miles on the bike just to check it out and have a beer with Larry, the new owner.

There are seven to eight miles of gravel if you come in from the east side. Of course I did but left by the all paved west road.

Why are all of my short cuts are longer. 242 Miles round trip from my home turned into 360 miles.

There were lots of logging trucks coming out with loads when I was coming in. The first truck I met was kind of scary but he must of radioed the other trucks because they were stopped to let me by. That was very cool.

It's going to take some serious soap and water to get this ride clean.

You just have to love a bar with chain saws under the pool table.

Dang it, I forgot to take a picture of the water trough running next to the bar.

Now that, my friends, is a real chain saw.

This bar is a like a history museum of the local area and the lumber industry.

The sign says it all.

As my friend Pants says, "Stay thirsty my friends."

Hey Pieheart! You sure that water trench wasn't a pissin' trough?

Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park had those.

Good Stuff. Men must have been tougher and meaner back in the day. Or else I am getting old and soft. Nowadays after a few hours on the chain saw I am sore for 3 days. I can barely remember what it was like to work with a saw all day. I cannot imagine working with one of those antiques all day, every day.

I would enjoy an hour or two in that place, looking around. After 8 miles of gravel among logging trucks with the FJR, I'd be ready for 2 hours worth of medicine anyway....

Nice ride, Neihart!!

And now, as Paul Harvey use to say, the rest of the story.

I know that I'm a little touched in the head but I do like riding gravel roads. But I'm kind of rethinking that. I finely got around to washing my bike after another 300 mile run. And this is what I found.

I rode more that 400 miles with that rock in the tire. As luck would have it, the rock went side ways and did not puncture the tire but .....

The last rock I picked up was on the Mountain Loop Hwy [also gravel] and that took 3 sticky strings and several stops to put more air in the tire just to limp home.

Guess that's what you have to deal with when you have obsessions.

As my friend Mark found, this is an awesome place to ride.
