I know it sounds stupid but I have just about every size wrench yet, they all seem to slip on the Yamaha filter. Which do you use?
Which oil filter wrench is best for 16 fjr

Mine has a "B" molded into it. The only other marking is " MADE IN THE U.S.A."

I tighten by hand. If I can't get it off by hand, I use a rubber strap "wrench". If that slips, I have a big flat head screwdriver which will do the trick punched through the side of the filter. Never needed that on any filter I installed.

Only if needed. The filter should only be hand-tightened.

I got mine from the Yamaha dealer. Works great, on Yamaha, and MobiL 1 filters.

What Tom said. Who cares if you deform it taking it off? And hand-tight only for the new one.
