I have one of Graulds hydration system. I seem to remember someone on here created pump that could be used to pump water from the cooler to rid the hose of the warm water and to wet down your shirt etc it was a small pump with a momentary switch on it. I can't find that post now.

Does anyone have a setup they'd be willing to share?

Or put a teabag in the jug and alternate between hot tea and iced tea.

OK, on the serious side, you don't need a bite valve at all. Well, I don't, with a modular helmet. It's easy to pull water from your jug (mine's on the rear peg) with just a length of tubing from Home Depot. Easy to replace too, when it gets grungy inside, which it does a couple times a summer. (I guess a right-angle bite valve might help with a full face helmet, though.) An empty soda bottle of water is fine for wetting down your shirt on the road, though you might have to pull over for ten seconds.
