As title states, seeing if anybody has the Yamaha Accessories touring seat set.

Have the Yamaha touring seat on my FZ1 and really enjoy it, so hopefully has the same "feel" on the FJR.

Pics and price would be great. thanks!!

 
New from dealer. Cheap money compared to aftermarket. Big long term test will be the 10 days of riding coming up for EOM. The 5k so far has been fine.

The one you want (I don't know about gel- but it's the Yamaha Comfort Seat) is wider and has a deeper "saddle" than a stock seat. Fairly recently, a different, less expensive "comfort seat" has been for sale. It looks like a stock factory seat that has simply been recovered with fancier upholstery. Part of what made the longstanding Yamaha comfort seat superb was the fact that it provided more support and better contouring than the bench that the bikes come with.

 
Here's some pics. I'm not sure what the part number is. They were on my bike when I bought it in Oct 2007 and the stockers came with it. I'm pretty sure Yamaha called it the "Comfort Gel Seat" at the time, but I wouldn't swear to it. Shortly after getting the bike I had a Mayer saddle made on the stockers pans and these have been in the cabinet every since.

I like that. It HAS to be better than the stock seat!!! Mine is a 2011 gen 2, so fitment won't be an issue.

Got the seats in today.... 1911 packaged the seats perfectly and they arrived just as pictured. Great forum here and lots of honest peeps.

however.... is it customary for someone else to try and take your WTB items before you respond to them? just an observation... kinda odd.

No, it is not customary. I don't see it in this thread. Are you misinterpretating something? Maybe something behind the seens? Some folks may ask for second dibs if you drop out in some cases. That is normal.

Edit: Went back through the thread a little slower. Now I see what you are saying. A Newbie error, you may want to cut them some slack.

yeah, I apologize... I got excited and jumped into the middle of the thread without paying attention, and didn't quite realize until later that he hadn't just offered them up for sale, but it was in response to a WTB.
