g'day,
would someone that has the gen3 shelf be able to give me the measurements of the support brackets please?
cheers

They did have Gen3 shelves: FJRForum thread. Photos are here, and -- surprise! -- on the Photobucket link in the FJRForum thread. (Chuckle; only had 11,500 miles on the bike back then.)

I believe these guys are the suppliers. Maybe you can call them or drop them an email, or (GASP!) send them a snail mail.

TangoJuliett: Give me a day or two and I'll have them for you. If you'd like, I can measure them backwards, you know, so they'd work in the Southern Hemisphere.

I bought an secathey dash shelf because this goofball (Hud) had one and liked it. I still have mine and like it.

Here it is installed. The upper bolt screws into a threaded tab on the underside of the shelf. (from outboard) The lower screw is an FJR screw, part of the fairing, and screws from inboard. That's my garage door opener immediately beside the upper bolt. I've got it screwed to the bottom of the shelf, protected from weather and invisible to the asswipes that stole my previous opener.

Here is it measured. Looks like 10 cm between the outsides of the two bolt holes. Width is 1 cm. Plate thickness is maybe 5 mm. (Do you metric guys have 4 mm metal plate? Could be 4 mm.)
