Diag Mode 2016 model

Okay, I give up. I just did a valve check (no changes needed), put the beast back together, and now the Engine Trouble light is on.

I tried holding the TCS and RESET buttons and turning the switch to ON, holding the buttons for what seems an inordinate amount of time (30 seconds), and nothing changes on any of the screens...So how do I get into DIAG MODE on this 2016 model?

I thought Yamaha disabled the DIAG mode after 2014?

Did it mention in your owner manual? If not, it's not there. My 2014 owner manual specifically said how to run DIAG.

You can plug in a OBD II with a yamaha converter.

A forum member figured out how to access the OBD and posted extensive info about it on the forum. Can't remember details, but searching should get you the info you need. I ride a 07, so my brain didn't put much importance in that info.

Yeah, I just got the '16 in March, so I didn't pay attention to it much when I was riding the '06.

Are you sure you don't have something unplugged before you start buying diagnostic tools? If the bike runs, it has to be something simple,

I only see one vendor on eBay currently. I messaged them asking about FJR compatibility and their response was "maybe no". Not confidence inspiring.

Dynojet UK seems to be the only supplier of the adapter cable, right now.
