A brief remembrance ceremony is planned from 2 - 4 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Whidbey Island Nordic Lodge, 63 Jacobs Road, Coupeville, WA.

I wish we were able to attend ... calendar says not.

We'll be raising a glass on the date though.

I will be remembering Rich today. It was maybe a month more than a dozen years ago that I met him on a Napa Valley ride Highlander organized. Life is surely short. RIP.

1:59 pm and the dCarver is at the ready to celebrate Dr. Rich!

Will be hoisting one tonight

Very nice celebration of Rich's life today.

The hall was filled with photo collages from every aspect of Rich's life, motorcycling among his many passions. Memories were shared by friends and family, perhaps the most touching were "thank you papa" moments from his grand kids. He was a very special man who touched the lives of all he knew.

I know everyone was grateful to know Rich. Rich's wife Susan thanked JayH and Barb and Jill and me for taking time to attend the memorial, honor Rich's life and represent the FJR community. Many folks we spoke to recalled the happiness motorcycling brought to Rich's life.

From me too... many photos pop up upon occasion with Rich in them... he led a ride many years back that was one of the best rides of my life and I will always remember him for that as well as just being an all around great gent!
