Sonora & Tioga Passes: 108 and 120

I'm planning a ride looping through the Sonora and Tioga passes. Anyone have recent reports on the road conditions? I know that Sonora has been open since mid/late May, and Tioga was fully opened on July 1st. But I'm curious if anyone has either of them recently.

If they are open then it's rideable.

I have not ridden them yet this year but there still is a bit of snow in the high country. Should still make for nice vistas and waterfalls .

Post a ride report when you go.

Yeah, the snow caught my eye last week as I flew back from JFK to SFO. Should make for a great ride...but I figure it doesn’t hurt to get some sense of what I’m heading into, as I haven’t ridden either pass before.

Oh man you are in for a real treat, wonderful roads. I like to ride west to east on 108 as it just seems better looking going that way.
