AArnie,I bought an oil filter for my FJR from mandp.com and they sent me one of these I think it's wrong. How would it be fitted anyway - there's no container for it - not seen one like that before.

definitely the wrong filter. The correct P/N for the FJR1300 is KN-148 and the filter looks like this

Doesn't look like it's going to work....
That K&N filter fits (among other things) a Yamaha XJR1300, so I think mandp.com messed up the order, and it needs to go back....

Looks to me like that oil filter would belong to a Honda 400EX.

Fits a Kaw Concours also. PITA to change the oil the them.
