hi all.

just spoted this on the yamaha oz web site.

they have admited faulty design of their mounting plates, and are offering free

replacements. also the site says that if your top case is damaged as a result of the

faulty mounting plate, it will also be replaced free of charge.

Says for plates bought Jan '06 and later. I guess that means this only applies to 2nd gen mounting plates...

 
Thanks 85 turbo for the heads up. Called my dealer

and he knew nothing about. Parts Manager has ordered the part for me.

will install it as soon as it comes in.

It looks like it is for the 2nd Gen bikes.

Lucky me.... I think I qualify. Now all I have to do is move to Australia. Always wanted to go there anyway.
