Anyone know how Avon marks the "light" spot on thier tires, I cannot seem to find one.

You won't find a balance mark on Avon tires.

Just make sure you don't need more than 40 grams to balance the wheel/tire combo. Otherwise I'd strongly recommend remounting the tire.
I'd also balance the wheel by itself the first time so you know how unbalanced it is from the factory, and how unbalanced the tire is once mounted (if wheel is 20gr and tire/wheel 22gr, tire is only 2gr).
Plus it's important to know where wheel's heavy spot is (and permanently mark it inside the wheel); it's not always by the valve stem. In fact, my BMW front tire had it opposite the valve stem; no wonder I couldn't balance that sucker. Wish somebody had told me to do that BEFORE, so I'm doing it here in case I can help somebody.
