They have the BEST Yamaha mechanic Bill west of the Mississippi. Also, they do a very large mailorder business. For you NASCAR buffs, they race in NASCAR West our here.

Good folks

Anyone recommend which of these three NW Oregon dealers is best (or least worst...):

1. Cycle Sports - Salem

2. Power Yamaha - Sublimity

3. Lamphere's Beaverton Yamaha

I shudder at the thought of taking my '07 FJR to any of them, but I now need to because of the dreaded clutch disengagement issue. Cripes.

TIA,

Derv

Bring it to Power Yamaha- Sublimity. They treat you right. I had a Ticking problem on my 04 and they got it taken care of right away. Under the YES program. Beaverton just tried to convince me that there was nothing wrong with the bike. they just did not want to bother with the YES program. or they just wanted to put me on a waitng list.

Atlantic Cycles in White Plains Maryland, located on Route 301 in Southern MD. Another one of these maulti Manufacturer sales shops, Yamaha, Kawawsaki, Honda, and Suzuki. A little high on the parts and labor, but I have found them to be honest when it comes to notifying the customer what parts might be needed to make a repair. Their repair facility has two good Yamaha mechanics on duty at all times the shop is open. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. No trailer or road pick-up, the bike needs to be delivered to the shop for any repairs by the customer. 301-753-1171.

I have bought 5 bikes from them (4 new, 1 used). All my friends have bought there. Very good people. I actually trust the service department.

They sell Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Ducati, Moto Guzzi, BMW, KTM. I met a rider on a BMW at the nearby diner who rode from NYC to RI just to have his BMW serviced there.

Donahue Super Sports, 6821 Plover Rd., Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Extremely fair to deal with and Troy is an excellent mechanicmeister. :clapping: :clapping:

OK, they aren't the cheapest to buy from, and not the most expensive, but their salespeople don't work on commision and leave you alone if you want. What I really like is the head of the service department, Adam and one of his guys, Ben. They seems a bit laidback, but he doggedly kept after Yamaha to get the proper heated grips for my '06 FJR and made sure they did a great job on my baby. He also helped immensely with a warranty repair to replace the entire wire harness on my wife's '05 Honda ST1300.

They have treated me fairly and got done what I wanted. Works for me!

Great people and the Service Manager, Zac, (aka Cisco on this forum) is "the best".

Greetings from an FNG to the forum, and FNG to the Milwaukee, WI, area. (Oak Creek) Any advice on FJR friendly, or just friendly in general places up here? Any advice on the best places to go for motorcycle apparel and accesories in this neck of the woods? :assassin:

Thanks!
