I'm a Dumbass

Well, After a SUPER FANTASTIC weekend in Toas, Sin_Loki,HRZ and myself headed back to Albuquerque to part ways with HRZ and head west.

ummm.... That separation didn't last long. I was leading Loki to the gas station at the Route 66 Casino and missed the correct driveway and ended up in the Diesel fueling area. Instead of turning around and going into the car fueling are correctly, I decided to just hop off a curb and take a short cut.

Mind you, I have dropped off a curb many times before without incident, But this time was different... I was in gravel, And the tires sank about an inch below the curb removing the needed ground clearance.

The damage:

Smashed my Muzzy header into the bottom of the oil pan, And caused a major leak. I have not felt soo fucking stupid on a bike. I even had some Harley riders come over and express their sympathy... <_<

Anyway, I called HRZ and said i had a problem... He came out with a trailer and hauled me back to Albuquerque and stayed with him and Family. Thank you SO much. :good:

So, Now i am looking fokr someone to repair it locally today, Which is Monday... Hence, All things MC related are closed.

1.) Admitting your a dumb @$$ is the first step to healing.

2.) Dood....I'm sorry to hear any time an FJR is leaking vital body fluids.

3.) Uhm...we of the...er..."full size" category should take a litle more care when negotiating difficult road surfaces. :blink:

I hope you can find someone to weld it for you. A little RTV in place of the gasket should get you home where you will then have more options.

HRZ, I love ya man!

Not only did he drop everything after JUST walking in the door to his house, And scrambling to get a trailer and pick my dumbass up, But he put me up in the 5 Star accommodations AKA: The HRZ Hilton.

The next morning after coming up empty on any shop open on monday (Yes, RS was closed according to the non responsive phone and the website), And all the local rental companies refused to rent a pick-up one way, Mr. Zilla made an executive decision and told me to grab my shit and lets go!

He drove my Dumbass and my injured FJR to Kingman!!! I am at a loss for words to describe the respect and gratitude i have for this man... Thank you again!
