Dang this new american-made sport-tourer looks cooooool! Unfortunately, me thinks it's going to be out of my price range for a while.

Anywho, Motus will have one of their prototype MSTs on display at Daytona Bike Week. Wish I could be there to see it.

Very cool.... probably another "CONFEDERATE" type business.... very cool, hand made, and start at $55-60 K.... I bet its in that price range... Reminds me of MotoCZYSZ "sport bike" with that KILLER motor. The whole bike was bad ass, and they where offering a copy to the public for like $100K

If this bike is in the BMW price range of $25-30K they will sell a ton... but no way...

 
Yeah, no doubt they will be pricey. I was hoping for more closer to 30k but that could be some very wishful thinking.

It does look awesome. Hopefully, their ambition and hard work will come to fruition. But No One is probably right. Unfortunately.

 
The more I look at the bike - particularly the hi-res photos released yesterday, the more I think, yeah, it's "OK". And I don't mean that delicious carbon-fiber capped motor and Italian-esque trellis frame. Those are gorgeous. It's the bodywork. It's very mid-'90s in my opinion. I like the split nose fairing with the stacked-and-nested lights (that was a nice touch), but the rest just doesn't get it. It looks, well, unfinished. Instead of really showing off the cylinder heads and headers - the best features of the bike, they get a bit lost. I think they would have been well-served in taking some inspiration from the MG Norge GT. (You can say all you want about MG, what one they do know how to do is show off those cyclinder heads protruding out the side of the bike. Case-in-point: the new California prototype sporting that 1400cc mill. Over-the-top in an oh-so-glorious way.) I'm just left feeling that they didn't go quite far enough. I'd love to see what it could look like in the hands of a really skilled and passionate motorcycle designer. Like Massimo Tamburini, for instance.

Actually, I can't wait to see the naked version of this bike which I understand is coming soon. In contrast to the ST version, I'll bet it's going to rock. But then again - and my critique of the MST-01 bodywork aside, anything with 161 hp and 121 ft/lbs is going to rock regardless of how it's dressed. Hell, with that kind of power, you can setup a side business using it to pull tree stumps. It'll practically pay for itself!

Actually, ...anything with 161 hp and 121 ft/lbs is going to rock regardless of how it's dressed.
With that Big V-Motor (sitting in there the way God intended) -- and 2-valve push-rod heads -- it appears Motus is side-stepping direct comparison to any (modern) competiton (in the engine department)?; and relying more on patriotism for sales success...? :unsure:

Do all'y'all think 161 HP will be enuff...? :eek:

They will be spendy and some Jack Ass like Tom Cruise will have the first one to add to thier collection and ridden once around the block for the TMZ cameras, then parked and forgotten. I wonder what the Redline is, that is a Bad Motorscooter. :yahoo:
