I have been contemplating selling both my '09A and '07 VStrom and getting either a new FJR or a S10. Right now I'm scouting leftover deals. I have the Hillview websight on my favorites. Does anyone know of others that are selling either bike as new '17 model yr or older?

FJR would be Gen 3 or newer, but unless it's a smokin' deal, nothing older than '15, S10 '14 up.

TIA -

When I was looking I had my local dealer print off a list of all the pre-'17 bikes still in dealer showrooms in the states in and around mine. Called them all and got a bidding war going till I found a used '15 w/2000 miles for $400 less than the lowest dealer. It had been purchased w/in the past year and was eligible for the YES warranty, which I got from D&H.

I also watch good late model used, but I saw a '13 new on Ebay today and it got me thinking, so thought I'd post up. We had a great thread here last yr when a couple of dealers in the midwest were blowing out '15A models for $9999 or thereabouts.

Hillview sold out of all the 15's they had. Fortunately I was the lucky one to pick one up at a steal of a deal.

I wouldn't put much trust in CTrader, call to verify because many dealers are too lazy to update this site.

HIllview is showing '16A @ $12279:

The Cycletrader ad with a '15A @ $10999 is too high IMO; for a little bit extra could have the improved '16. I really like the black '17 but kinda pissed Yamaha decided to only offer those as a ES.

A Wisconsin dealer on Ebay has a '13A for $10499, which to me is still too high, but the oldest new FJR that I know about:

I got my '16A from Hillview on 8/31/17. Total cost out the door was $12754. They had 8 more '16A's left at that time. They are a good bunch to do business with.

That's what I've heard. Curious, they're showing the price on those @ $12,279:

Did they charge tax on your purchase, discount the price, or how did the OTD price break down? We're 7% in my county in Florida, so $12279 + 7% tax = $859.53 = 13138.

Sorry it took me a month to see your question. The $12,754 was the $12,279 plus prep and nuisance fees. I had to pay Ohio sales tax (6.75% in my county) when I titled it. Many dealers I contacted had much higher nuisance fees that weren't included in their advertised price.
