another convert

My stepson started riding last year. He bought a Honda CB500f as a starter bike.

He's 30, in the military; big strong boy. I warned him he would find the bike small fairly quickly, and I was right, so......

I leant him my fjr this weekend; he is in love.

I see a good used Gen3 in his immediate future

Or a clean 2010 that he can pickup cheap in Seattle area.

Plenty of room in the FJR club. Looking forward to seeing what he gets.

I've had mad love for the CB500 platform since it came out. Have a buddy that had a CB500X and I absolutely LOVE that motorcycle and was disappointed to see it go when he upgraded to an FZ-09. When I move to the mountains, I'm planning to get a day tripping twisty bike and leave the FJR in the stable for longer tours. The CB500X is on the short list there.
