Number One Son and I made a dash out to Big Bend this past weekend. He had never been there so we just went. Tail wind both going and coming back. We wanted to go and see the full moon through the telescopes at McDonald Observatory but the particle count was way too high for them to open the buildings and get the mirrors dirty. Even offered the lady and extra twenty and she just laughed and said call UT Austin Astrology dept. It was very smokey down there. You couldn't see all the mountains in the park for the smoke. But the roads were nice and smooth, free entrance to the park weekend and the speed limit, 45, was mostly observed by others.
Hoping to see you all in Toas come Sept.

Its Big Bend. Dusty, windy, and hot and only getting hotter. Did not take any pics since all you get is smoke and haze.
