I'm thinking, if the box is constructed with a removable lid, I could have that painted.

Another +1 for the Admore Kit. Someone had ordered an E55 with the remote lid release and then did not pick it up so I was able to get a good deal on it. I used the Admore Kit for the box lights and then used the original Givi power connection to power the trunk release.RH already posted my pics. Just be sure to get the Admore light kit, not the GIVI OEM. If you want the Givi lights, I'll give you the ones I took out.

The E55 got delivered yesterday. Everybody was right, it is HUGE. But I don't know if I have a problem or not. I consider myself very mechanical but I can not figure out how the handle gets released. No matter what I do it stays flush and closed.
Help
Turn the key clockwise beyond the unlock position and the handle pops up.
Its a good day to ride.

It would be nice to get a group buy on these Givi boxes. By the time I add it all up I'm approaching $600 for a top-case, mount and light kit. Ouch!
Take a look at these links from Shad Top Case:

These are around $350.
The SH48 will hold 2 Modular Helmets.

Question: does this size of a box have a signifiant affect on the bikes performance?
