It's like the old story of a guy seeing an ad in the Miami Herald for a new Porsche Turbo for $50. He make an appointment to look at the car and it's beautiful. He asks the woman, "What's the catch?". She said none. It was leagal with a clear title. She was just in a bitter divorce and her husband called her and told her to sell the Porsche and send him the money. She said, "That's what I'm doing."

Just read your post and hope you're as chuffed with your '07 AE as I am with mine. I've had mine under two months, paid 7500 for it with 8600 miles and no rear box although I want one. Also hardly a mark except some scuffs on the front fender. Thinking of replacing it.im in sarasota, fl, I can't wait to get it registered and ride it.

Congrats on your awesome deal.
I just got my '09 AE a couple of weeks ago with 0 mi and always had the normal hand clutch model bikes before BUT now that I've gotten use to what I call the "paddle shifter"... holy shazitts, it's the only way to fly. No more hand jobs for me
(I do have a CDL so it's still the norm to peddle clutch) but man that slap shifter is bad azz and sooo quick n smooth, your going to LOVE it!

Trust you've been enjoying the steed.im in sarasota, fl, I can't wait to get it registered and ride it.
I'm up near Tampa. Do you know of any clubs or groups yet that meet up for riding out etc and welcome the odd FJR pairing?
Me being the odd bit, plus the bike.
