I used chrome helmet hanger extensions bent 90 deg. and bolted to frame. Cost less than $15.00.

Hey 86!, Your idea was awesome too. But, unlike you, I don't go anywhere without my side bags. For me, the bags are a Major Component of the bike.

Exactly. They are multipurpose, not the least of which is their role as rear sliders.... I don't go anywhere without my side bags. For me, the bags are a Major Component of the bike.
