A friend sent me this link to a new technology called Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) for use in helmets to offer better brain protection upon impact.

Also, Lazer Superskin, a sort of reverse-MIPS that put a low-friction membrane on the outside of the helmet to decrease chance of injuries.

And Vaco12 helmet technology, which aims to spread impact out across a three-dimensional array of beads.

Nice to see new ideas that will help keep noggins safer! B)

That's pretty cool. I remember seeing something about that Superskin a couple years ago, but nothing since then. The MIPS and Vaco12 are new to me, but look like there's some potential behind them. Safer is better I say...
I was gonna use this space to list the reasons I don't like Howie, but I only have 5 lines. Bummer!!
