Very good ride report. Last June I rode the Trace from Natchez to Jackson before severe rain forced me off the road. Now after seeing your pictures, I feel bad about missing the whole northern stretch. My original plan was to ride from Natchez to Tupelo. After the rain shortened day I had to slab it across Alabama to get back on schedule. Again, thanks for the pictures.

Did the Trace last June south to north during a very roundabout trip from Calgary to the Maritimes for CFR2011... there was one section that was closed because of all the downed trees, otherwise just a lovely piece of road.
