I will have to sit on one first... I hear it's more comfy than the busa, Which is too cranped for me. I do like the press about this bike though. I even seen in a mag that hard luggage *might* be an option... aaevil.gif

Sounds like kawi is onto a winner with this motor. Set this up in a ST configuration and I'll be VERY interested. dribble.gif

"...2006 Kawasaki ZX14 mods-------slammed (tied-down fork, dogbone), no air filter.

THATS IT!!!!

Stock pipes, stock gearing, 87 octane pump gas, stock tires. ABSOLUTELY NO TRICKS

60ft ............... 1.56
330ft ............. 4.04
660ft ..............6.08 @ 120.90
1000ft ............7.85

1320ft 9.36 @ 147.71

remember this was acheived with stock gearing, most notable was 47 runs in one day with same clutch.
At one point we made 12 back to back runs, clutch is UNBELIEVABLE!!! STOCK GEARING!!!!!!!!

Torque is unbeleivable, and allows you to leave under 4000 RPM and still have to fight the front wheel.

You know, if they'd convert that to a shaft drive and offer hard bags, the FJR sales would drop dramatically! Oh yeah, and keep a name without an "R" in it since the insurance companies seem to zero in on that designation. Thanks, Yamaha! dry.gif

O-rings have dramatically improved chain lube - it's not really an issue unless you do serious miles (which, of course, I know nothing about).

Anyway, I am looking for a good looking hardbag set and ABS. They get that, and I have one. Put on some heli-bars and a bigger bubble screen and I am all over it like shrink wrap.

This month's Motorcyclist has a rendering of a ZX-14 with bags. Perhaps someone can scan and post...

The low mileage loser of the group. Got an '05 ABS in May 2005. Currently has ~8900 miles. I guess this is no surprise:

yep, I saw that--looks good in black! they look like the new BMW hard bags. Riding position appears to be a bit to sporty for an old man like me. The Kawasaki concept looks like a sport bike they added storage to, a definite emphasis on sport!
