I just recieved my corbin saddle and they made it in the wrong style that i ordered. Luckily, i think i like this style as well or better than what i ordered. Heres the question. Theres a white embroidered corbin logo on the side of the saddle towards the back. The stock back seat when installed over the corbin front seat covers up the "cor" of the corbin logo, leaving me with ''bin" showing on the side of the seat. Is this how everyone elses showed up or has corbin done a poor job here?

If i send the seat back due to this issue, i may have them change the smooth style to the "presidente" ( i think thats what its called) that i originally ordered. If everyone else is showing just the 'bin" in " corbin", i'll just keep the seat.

Makes a tremendous difference in seat height. i had it lowered another 3/8 of an inch (putting me in the mid 28 inch bracket). At 5'6, thats a beautiful thing.

Let me know if you others are riding around on "bin" seats.

thanx

I didn't even look at the seat with my stock rear. I have the smuggler installed, and I can see the entire logo.

This cant be right. Anyone else got this problem with there new corbins? i'd like to make sure before i send it back.

Well I say unless they are paying you to advertise for them F*** thier logo!
I'd rather not have the logo on there at all. Dont know if thats an option or not. I do know that if the logo is on there, it should probably all be there to be seen. If i send it back (which looks like is gonna happen...unless someone else can confirm that the way it looks is correct), i'll request that they completely remove the logo if possible. At first i thought they may have done it that way to fit with there passenger seat. But if you look at some of the other pictures, that logo is much more forward than mine is.

IMHO: I don't think it's worth sending it back for just the logo - if it's not the one you want or ordered then go ahead - it's not worth the wait normally if you send it back for something as small as that.

Corbin...

"presidente"???? If you look on there site this the only style they show, I has my local shop order me a front and rear If I need to call and ask for this style someone please let me know!!!!
UPSMan,

There appears to be a couple of different styles for this 06. Theres a smooth style (like the one that ended out on my bike), then theres the style they show on the website (which has more of a pattern in the seat). I ordered the one with the pattern, but got the smooth. The smooth blends pretty well with the stock back seat, but the patterned style is definitly the way to go if your replacing both front and back.

You may want to make a call to be sure. I have no idea how they screwed this up, but corbin has been having some problems for some time. Lets just say i'm not surprised.

From the website all I saw (and I order the saddles) were two saddles. One with heat, the other without. There wasn't a "style" selection for the 06.

Scroll to the bottom and it has the selectio. Pic of the seat on the website does look a bit different, however I believe it has to do with angle and lighting.

My Corbin saddle fits like this:

Seat height is 29 inches.

Silverstreak,

Thats the picture i was after. I just got off the phone with corbin. This looks like it could be a long ride getting it corrected. I've heard horror stories about how these returns go with there customer service. I actually got hold of the guy who sold me the seat down at the honda hoot. He cant seem to remember which seat they had down there and is trying to tell me that i got the seat i ordered. He cant explain why theres no pictures of what i've got. REturn authorization is in progress. They want to charge me for shipping the seat back. They must be kidding. If it was just the logo that was wrong, they might stand a chance. But the pattern is wrong and there a fit and finish issue at the front of the seat. I supposed get a call back in 90 minutes. Estimated time of redelivery: 6 weeks.

Call Visa (or whoever) and contest the charge. That'll get their attention!
That was going to be my last resort.

They just called me back and are going to cover the cost of the return and fix the issues with the seat. We'll see if there new and improved customer service department is "new and improved". so far so good.

I went by the shop and we called Corbin, If you order a Heated seat you get the pattern in it, If you dont order a Heated seat you get the standard plain seat unless you ask for the pattern. We asked for the non heated seat with the pattern so we will see what show's up.

I got the non heated seat with the pattern. I just said "I want the one in the picture on the website." I THINK that's what I got.

My seat does not look as contoured as the one on the blue '06 pictured above. I like the contours in the picture better than mine. My seat seems somewhat flatter. Variation in the seat pan production?

Kinda tacky having their logo stitched on the side if you ask me. Especially as light as it is. A couple rain storms and a couple seasons of riding and it's going to look like shit.

I have CORBIN, which appears with either the smuggler or the stock rear seat installed. On yours the CORBIN must be stiched a little too far towards the rear. Strange.

I Like both my seat and the smuggler. 2006.

Could someone please post a picture of the smooth seat. I would like to compare it as I think it might look better with the stock passenger section.

Also has anyone had corbin add any foam to raise the seat. I have long legs and the 29" height wouldn't work for me.

Thanks
