2004 FJR with ignition wire bypass also burnt out the main fuse.

Really? This is friendly to the common used plastic for moto windscreens? I'll have to try this if it is. As some else said, I'll be testing whatever cleaner I user on a bottom corner first.

2004 FJR with ignition wire bypass also burnt out the main fuse.

I've got that thread bookmarked lol. Was how I figured out the toggle switch lol. But thanks. Just glad I finally got it home. Was sitting there for like a week before I went out there and saw a "courtesy notice" of possible towing due to unmoved/abandoned vehicle lol. I hate that...

2004 FJR with ignition wire bypass also burnt out the main fuse.

I had them electrical tape wrapped but it did look like the toggle switch had either a little manufacturer defect in plastic housing or there was a brief surge that might have been hot and melted the plastic a little. The switch is not currently ziptied as I had removed it to do the wire twist...

2004 FJR with ignition wire bypass also burnt out the main fuse.

So. Is the fact that I have a 20amp toggle switch to hot wire the ignition switch issue the reason why my main 50amp fuse blew? I never got around to getting the replacement kit, which is still avail online if I search, or pulling the bars to drill the security bolts out, so I just left a...

Seals for Timken or other tapered roller steering head bearings?

While I can't help OP on the seals for Timkens, as I've only ever used the AB kits, I did feel the need to comment on the spot about "why change bearings?" question. The tapered bearings I installed on a sv650 gsxr1k Franken bike made my steering SOOOOO stable. I could take my hands off at...

Both headlights, at the same time?!

I'm not sure the age of the battery when I bought it, but I've bought 2 batteries over the 2 years I've owned it. Miles are 22k. I'm going to be doing some serious regreasing in next 2 months.

Both headlights, at the same time?!

I had gotten about 19,000 miles out of my OEM 2004 H4's. I swapped em both at the same time for LED's. I love them. Hope they last. Also, LED bulbs make me think about my battery life, may be what I ask for come xmas time.

USA Gen I Ignition Switch Failure

So it's 908-91300-58-00 looks like that still has the right character count. But as RossKean linked, that is the part number on the bulletin and the part number I found FROM THIS FORUM. It just has a recall part formatting. 90891-30058-00

USA Gen I Ignition Switch Failure

Price is anywhere from 37 to 90 dollars. The part isn't being made anymore so it's left over new stock you will find. Some places (ebay sellers) are selling it for two different prices even though they claim its the exact same part...
