    Slightly Damaged Staintunes Exhaust

This exhaust is $1200 new without the silencers/baffles. Adding the baffles is about $70 for the pair. The nice thing about these that they don't use the straps like a lot of the other aftermarket exhausts, which keeps a cleaner look in my opinion.

    Slightly Damaged Staintunes Exhaust

I had an accident with the FJR, and as such damaged Staintune exhaust. As I was already planning to sell the bike for financial reasons, I pulled these off and put back on the OEM exhaust. I believe someone creative could polish the damage, and do something similar to the left side to make a...

    iphone mount suggestions

I riveted a ram ball to the back of the my Otter Box Defender belt clip. Ram ball is riveted to the belt clip part and the clip is glued closed. Very positive lock-in for the phone. Iphone 5, but in theory should be doable for any phone in an Otter Box Defender.

What Highway Pegs Do You Have?

I like that...the standard pegs are just a bit short as you said and force your legs close into the fairing. May have to try that in the future.

What Highway Pegs Do You Have?

I got the motorcycle Larry pegs used. I like them pretty well except my knee hits the corner of the fairings which gets uncomfortable after awhile. However, it is nice to have the ability to change the foot position for awhile.

My LustRacing lowering links...toward the touring side of the spectrum

Wow, they are proud of those kickstands. $139 Think I'll pass and just modify my stock one if I eventually feel like it needs. Primarily use center stand, so side usually just holds it until I can get it on the center stand. Ideally, I'd buy a side stand off unfortunate sole that had their...

My LustRacing lowering links...toward the touring side of the spectrum

Got my Kouba links in. In case you don't know, the Kouba links lower the rear of the bike by 7/8 inch or about 22mm. I slipped the front fork tubes up the triple clamps by 0.4 inch or about 10mm. The instructions that came with the Kouba links said you shouldn't shift the tubes more than 0.5...

My LustRacing lowering links...toward the touring side of the spectrum

Well, that is interesting. I too was considering using LustRacing lowering links but I couldn't get the buggers to answer me as to why the 2014 and 2013 links were different. In fact I got no reply at all after many attempts to contact them. I wanted to also go with -15mm since this was...

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

Here is what the brake line bracket looks like now: Riser and handle bars current set up: This is probably the most extreme position as far as pulling on brake/clutch lines and the throttle cable.

    Interesting sales encounter

Meh...your not missing much in my opinion. The sales guy loaned me one while they were working on my FJR. It felt like the cheap bike that it is.

    Interesting sales encounter

Well, the first dealership I went to wasn't very helpful at all. The one 2013FJR they had was sold and going out the door as I arrived. They couldn't tell me when they were getting another one. The second dealership was a lot better. They couldn't/wouldn't let me test ride the 2013, but they...

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

Well, I bravely took my riser to the machine shop for some modification so I could increase the pull back a little. As originally installed the riser looked like this (note: this is the most forward position of original handlebar bolting): After modification I was able to pull the riser back...

    Cigarette lighter in glove box

There also adapters for the pigtail that go straight USB if that is what you need. Search "battery tender to usb" in Amazon and you'll find a couple of options.

Valco HV350 Adhesive - Awesome Stuff

Well, I ordered some just to give it a try. Figure order it now and have it on hand when I need something like this. Don't buy it on Amazon cause it is almost triple the price.
