OK, after these replies I guess I was just a little jumpy about the exhaust color. I have never met another FJR owner to be able to look at another one to compare to. And most of my experience has been with cruisers which have the double walled exhuast...so maybe I over reacted a bit. Everything...
I have done some ridding in the rain, sometimes daily. I just would hate to have to polish the exhaust every few weeks, that's one main reason I got rid of my Cruiser...too much Chrome to polish!! I understand the "mixing" pipe function, I just hate the look of the yellow pipes and others have...
I will do the TBS as soon as my back ordered sync tool arrives. And I thought the BJM only helped smooth things out on the low end and how would it affect the mixture accross the TB at all RPMs? I'm not ready for the PCIII at this point.

Like I said I have read all the posts found during the search feature...I realize the pipes will change colors....it's just that mine look worse than any others that I have seen. Thanks for your input.

OK, I have searched and read the posts about this. But I think my exhaust looks a little excessive.
It is Yellow/Gold all the way back to and up the long muffler piece that connects to the exhaust from under the bike. Plus the right side is much more yellow than the left side. The bike is a new...
Nah, I'm pretty thoughtful  with the cruisers. I maintain a safe group-riding profile when I'm with them. But as soon as I'm alone I do stretch it out a bit. I also ride with two Hyabusas and they do their best to keep up with me. :yahoo:

My drive to and from work net me over 100 miles a day! Plus only working 4 days a week leaves plenty of time for chores and ridding on my days off.

I live "in the woods" just North of the Coast, and we have some pretty twisty country roads out here. Even my ride to work on HWY 57 is somewhat the curvy type. You always hear Tail of the Dragon and Deals Gap when people reference twisty roads, but there are plenty around if you are willing to...
Yea I had one guy on a HD Road King that thought he could handle the twisties... (he has been to Tail of the Dragon) well he swung wide and crossed the centerline on one and that tought him to stay back!

Have had the FJR for a week now and can not stay off of it. I waited patiently for the rain to stop (actualy just slow down a bit) Saturday so I could continue ridding. I am very happy with everything about this bike. I have put 1500 miles on her and at 640 miles I completed the first...
I called the dealer and told them to start unpacking and assembly of the 08 FJR. :yahoo: I will pick it up this Friday. I have been reading (everyday!) on this bike, have had two test rides, and I am finaly getting one.
I have a copy of the "checklist" from here, but I wanted to put the...
