you guys, I'm so sorry to have started this this thread and hope no-one gets their nose outta joint over it. But I fear there's a chance of that. My manual and apparently some others do not show it. Yet several others do. I had only owned the machine a couple months before midwest riding season...

it only took a couple replies for someone to simply type, "normal." so IMHO, and as the OP, no biggie. I knew I'd get a straight answer. Eventually. Some guys just hafta go 'round the mulberry bush. And fwiw, and as it turns out, the manual does not answer this particular Q.

Guys, I'm so unfamiliar w this bike yet. Is this what my Gen II '06 display should look like when the ignition is off? When I turn the ign on, the yellow light in the C of that black 1/2 hex blinks and goes out. The black hex box remains while I ride. TIA

One more thing that might not have been mentioned above, is your hand position. You might try sort of canting your wrist to the outside instead of gripping the throttle straight on. More like the way you'd hold an ice-cream cone. I've also found that, for me, tho the low seat position gets tough...

I used to run ME 88's on my 1100RT. How's the mileage on the Roadtecs? And I realize speed, pavement condition, load and several other factors ....factor. Thx!

Of course, and thanx for mentioning cracks and bulges. They're not nearly in that kind of shape. In fact they look pretty good given the mfg dates. the cupping on the front seems to affect 90 + mph and the rear is starting to square off. They're obv pretty darned good tires. I'd been running ME...

I can tell you; the protection isn't the same. Tho after market shields are helpful. My wife's has a Puig two-piece that she likes. But she's 5'4". and bark busters or the like help too. Lotsa people LOVE the Madstad. IDK if Aeroflow in CA makes one for the F750, but I've used them on my RTs...
